A NOTE FROM OUR Executive director - gary gaddini
As a Bay Area native, I’ve been captivated by the beauty, innovation, and resilience of the Bay Area my entire life. Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of pastoring churches here and witnessing firsthand the incredible potential of the Church to bring hope and transformation. My journey with TBC began when I served on its founding board, where I caught a compelling vision for what God could do through a unified and catalytic Gospel movement in the Bay Area.
Isaiah 61:4 speaks powerfully to the work we’re called to:
"They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations."
Our region has been labeled as “the most unchurched urban region of the country,” I see the Bay Area as a place ripe with opportunity—a region filled with followers of Jesus serving in every sector and domains of society who are spiritual pioneers, innovators, and dreamers. God is at work here, rebuilding and restoring lives, families, and communities through His people.
At TBC, we are committed to connecting, equipping, and empowering leaders across the 11 counties and 256 cities of the Bay Area to spark transformation that extends beyond Sunday services. Through our 4 C’s—CONNECT, CONVENE, COLLABORATE, and CATALYZE—we’re reimagining what Gospel impact looks like:
Forming Regional Networks: We’re gathering pastors to dream and strategize about what’s possible in their cities.
Addressing Systems Change: We’re helping faith leaders tackle critical issues like education, foster care, and homelessness through unified efforts.
Church Planting Support: We’re working to resource and equip church planters to establish thriving communities of faith.
Faith and Work Integration: We’re empowering marketplace leaders to view their workplaces as mission fields and primary spaces for discipleship.
What makes TBC unique is our startup mindset. We remain agile, innovative, and deeply relational. Our mission isn’t about building something for ourselves—it’s about building with Christ, alongside the spiritual leaders who are shining as points of light across the Bay Area.
Together, as the Body of Christ, we have the privilege of joining Jesus and participating in God’s work of rebuilding and renewing our cities.
Join us and let’s imagine what’s possible. Let’s rebuild together.

“There are points of light throughout the Bay Area. In every town, people of faith are doing great work – in the marketplace, in churches, in nonprofits. TBC’s role is simply to pull the leaders together to see if we can spark even more.”

“My passion is to help create a healthy ecosystem for churches and church planters. I think it’s essential to train people to think deeply about how they integrate their faith in their lives. Ultimately that will help lead to people coming to faith in Christ.”

“There’s so much encouraging work that’s happening here in the Bay Area. I want to make sure we’re celebrating it and supporting the churches in what they’re already doing as we have conversations about the bigger picture of what’s possible to do collectively.”
